FCW Events government program management
conference
Michael Lisagor is the co-founder of the annual PM summit held
in Washington, D.C. on November 19, 2008 at the Ronald Reagan
Building and International Trade Center.
Developed
specifically to address the needs of public sector program managers,
this third annual Program Management Summit is an interactive
forum bringing together experienced program managers to share
strategies and exchange ideas to meet the challenges of the dynamic
environments in which they work. This is an ideal opportunity
to meet like-minded colleagues to have meaningful discussion and
networking with senior members of the government program management
community.
As the Government Program Managers' role continues to evolve,
these professionals need practical, focused ways to develop a
comprehensive understanding of emerging and complex tasks, as
well as a means of acquiring the tools, skills, and contacts necessary
to deliver desired program results. The Program Management Summit
is designed to support these goals and provide a valuable interactive
professional experience for this motivated audience.
The Program Management Summit is open to ~ 100 government Program
Managers and executives by invitation only.

WSA business to government meetings - next
meeting in June 2008
===============================================================
Michael Lisagor (Celerity Works) co-founded the WSA Business
to Government Special Interest Group.
Meets in downtown Seattle
The mission of the Business to Government Special Interest Group
(SIG) is to foster open communications and cooperation between
the technology industry and various governmental entities by serving
as a forum and a clearinghouse for ongoing discussion, information
sharing and education for WSA members and government at all levels
– federal, state and local. Within this structure, the SIG
pursues topics and issues of interest to industry professionals
where they are directly or indirectly impacted by government operations
or policies. As an advisory body, the SIG informs as opposed to
lobby government officials.
The objective is to provide opportunities for formal and informal
interactions and cooperation among software manufacturers, distributors,
integrators and other tech industry professionals, and government
executives, users, elected officials, policymakers and other interested
parties; to provide WSA members the opportunity to increase their
share of government IT business and influence, define, and shape
the issues facing the tech industry.
